Meet Tia  - A Civil Litigator, Turned Divorce Mediator

As someone deeply involved in civil and family law for nearly two decades, I've seen firsthand the trauma and distress caused by divorce litigation. I formed Evolved Law to offer an alternative: an Evolved Divorce through mediation and compassion. Let's talk about changing the narrative around divorce.

The Unspoken Path: Amicable Divorce through Mediation

Divorce doesn't have to be a war zone. My company offers a  mediated, collaborative approach that safeguards your family’s emotional and financial well-being.

My Evolution: From Civil Trial Attorney to Family Law Mediator and Peacemaker

Early Career: Championing the Underdog

My journey began in the high-stakes world of civil law, where I fiercely advocated for the underdog as a plaintiff's trial attorney. This role was deeply gratifying, providing me with the opportunity to fight for justice in high-risk cases through both mediation and trials.

A Personal Awakening: Facing Cancer and Finding New Purpose

The year 2014 brought a personal health challenge that profoundly altered my perspective. Confronting cancer led me to reevaluate my path and ignited a desire to contribute more meaningfully to the lives of others.

Transition to Family Law: Witnessing the Cost of Conflict

Shifting to family law, I saw the emotional and financial devastation wrought by contentious divorces. This experience was eye-opening, revealing the urgent need for a more compassionate approach in resolving family disputes.

Embracing Peacemaking: Certification in Mediation and Parenting Coordination and Divorce Coaching

To transform my practice, I became certified in mediation and as a parenting coordinator and decision maker. My aim was to be a catalyst for peace, helping families navigate their challenges with empathy and understanding.

Discover the Impact: Watch Our Video

For an in-depth look at how an Evolved Divorce can positively transform your experience, watch our video. I delve into my personal and professional journey, showcasing why mediation is a pivotal tool in family law.

Why Mediation Matters

Litigation scars can be enduring. I've been a litigant myself and can tell you first-hand, it's a very tough and long haul. My experience has taught me that most all cases can be resolved in mediation and this should be the default. Not hiring a trial attorney to destroy your spouse. I advocate for mediation as the first approach, turning to litigation only as a last resort. By focusing on low-conflict solutions and shielding children from the turmoil of divorce, we seek to minimize the emotional toll of these proceedings.

A Unique Approach to Mediation

My mediation practice goes beyond just conveying messages. I's a holistic process that intersects law and emotion. We utilize state-of-the-art secure platforms to collect information and provide a transparent dashboard for your marital balance sheet.  I strive to facilitate genuine resolutions, respecting the unique dynamics of each marriage and allowing the couple to craft personalized agreements that reflect their values.

The Collaborative Divorce Advantage

In collaborative and uncontested divorces, I guide couples through any roadblocks, ensuring a resolution that honors the needs of both parties. For those hesitant to start the divorce process, I offer a more compassionate and understanding path.

Evolved Divorce: Be a Divorce Industry Disruptor

Consider this evolved path for a respectful and family-focused separation. Move away from the painful, traditional divorce process and choose a journey that promotes healing and a brighter future.

Here’s to all the dad’s(and step-dad’s) out there who are willing to evolve and integrate a new way of being with your spouse or co-parent. Beginning in the womb, your kids were taking in every aspect of your marriage into their subconscious. You and your spouse have been programming them for how they should be with their partner and how you split with your partner. If you have a toxic relationship, your children are very likely to follow in your footsteps. But, you are open to breaking generational cycles for both you and your ex-spouse and learning how to parent your kids differently. You know that the single most effective thing you can do for your child is to display respect, compassion, empathy, and support for the other parent. Even when that other parent is behaving like a dick, it IS possible. And it is changing the future of your children. Watch and see. Happy Dad’s Day, to all those who father and love like a father. You are so important to your kids. -T
